ABCmouse Numbers + Counting Flashcards Level 1 build the real foundation of early math: knowing what numbers are. Every number 0 to 20 appears three ways at once, the numeral, the number word, and the actual quantity, so a child connects "5," "five," and five real things. That three-way link, plus one-to-one correspondence, is the bedrock of number sense.

Twenty ten-frame cards build the sense of 10 using the same model classrooms use, and 15 skip-counting cards practice counting by 2s, 5s, and 10s, so a child starts seeing how numbers relate before any formal arithmetic. Eight symbol cards make plus, minus, and equals familiar long before a child is asked to compute.

Thick 350gsm laminated cards with rounded corners in a rigid gift box. These are a number-sense practice tool, not a complete math curriculum. Works on its own, no app or subscription required.

Best for ages 3 to 6. It builds early number sense: recognizing numerals 0 to 20 and matching them to real quantities, then introduces the plus, minus, and equals symbols.
Card size 3.5 x 5 in. 67 cards. 350gsm laminated cards with rounded corners in a rigid telescope gift box.

Good learning tool, slightly crowded box

The cards are colorful and my son stays focused longer than he does with worksheets. I only wish the storage box had a little more room because putting every card back neatly takes some effort.

    Helpful but a little expensive

The kit is useful and my daughter enjoys it, but the value depends on how often you use it. At the current price I expected either more cards or a sturdier organizer.

    Works well for morning review

We keep a small stack near the breakfast table and review numbers and counting a few minutes before school. It has become an easy routine, and the short format prevents it from turning into a battle.

Nice cards, instructions could be clearer

The cards themselves are attractive and useful, but I was not always sure which counting activities were intended for each skill level. A one-page quick-start guide would make the kit easier to use.

    Useful for tutoring sessions

I use this kit with two early elementary students. It is easy to adjust the difficulty by choosing different cards, and the visuals help children who need more support. A few blank cards for custom number problems would be useful.
